I wish I would have stopped to take video of the clouds around the Sears/Willis Tower this morning when I came into work. Rain was moving out this morning over the lake and the clouds were very low. On the south face of the Tower the air was completely clear. On the north face clouds were blowing like crazy streaming northwards making an eerily similar appearance to the peak of Mt. Everest when it has ice crystals blowing off the peak due to the jet stream. Cool stuff.
Is it too early to start listening to Christmas music? 
It’s after Halloween now so is it fair game?
Relaxing Saturday morning with a cup of coffee and some good music (A Telemann trumpet concerto). Nice way to unwind after a stressful week at work.
So psyched to hear that Dead Can Dance has a new album on the way and a US tour to follow. Really hope I can get out to see them!
Talk about a wild day. It started off very still with a dense fog and now we have brilliant sunshine, a beautiful clear blue sky, and winds howling. The temperature is warming up like crazy. I guess that explains the bluster of the winds. Wouldn’t surprise me if we get snow later :)
Completely bummed out about the fact that the Daytona 500 was cancelled. The first time in it’s history it’s been cancelled due to rain. They’re running it tomorrow which doesn’t work too well for me given that I’ll be at work but I guess that’s how it goes.
Sitting down to calm my nerves with some Baroque music on Pandora and a glass of my homebrew Imperial Stout.
Speaking of Baroque music, tomorrow is my last concert of the season for Music of the Baroque. Really looking forward to that and I don’t have to worry about it being cancelled due to rain!
Amazing how energizing coming to a definitive decision can be regardless of the time it will take to execute the move.

Wow. Tony La Russa announces his retirement. Way to go out but end of an era.
Giving iCloud mail a chance but not sure what advantage it has over GMail. Probably none. Might switch back real soon
